5 Essential Oils For Common Cold And Flu

Winter can be a challenging time for our immune system.  We are constantly exposed to cold and flu bugs and tend to be more susceptible to having these bugs develop into a miserable cold or flu.  This winter has been especially challenging for many people as they have had one or even 2 colds or flu.

Under normal conditions the common cold and flu will pass on its own.  However it can take a long time to pass and in that time a cold or flu can have an exhausting affect on our emotional and mental wellness.  Since it can take a long time to get rid of the common cold or flu, this translates into missed days of work (think lost $) and school (think of all that homework to get caught up on).

This is where essential oils enter the picture.  Essential oils can help us move more efficiently through the common cold and flu making our recovery smoother and lessening our time away from doing things that matter, like work, school and play.

I have put together a list of 5 essential oils that I could not live without during the cold and flu season.

These oils either diffused, used in body oil blends or in baths have had significant wellness benefits for myself and my family during colds and flu’s.

They may not make you indestructible from getting a cold or flu but they will definitely help you to recover quicker, feel stronger and healthier.

Have a look at the list of 5 essential oils that I think are excellent cold and flu fighters.
